Friends for Life; the five finalists announced at Crufts 2020 launch in London.

The Kennel Club and James Middleton have announced the five hero dogs that will compete in the public vote for the prestigious Friends for Life award at Crufts 2020. They are:
A German Shepherd Police dog who worked tirelessly as a firearms support dog and a close canine colleague for his owner for the West Midlands Police before a car chase in pursuit of criminals resulted in an accident leaving the dog with PTSD

A Hearing Dog Cocker Spaniel who saved his owner from the fear and isolation of being deaf and who enables his owner to lead as normal life as possible as a teacher and Rugby coach

cross breed dog who has become a life line to a girl who lost her sister through suicide, giving her much needed support and a reason for living enabling her to take part in lots of canine activities.

A Golden Retriever therapy dog who has saved countless children?s lives and gives emotional support to children who are seriously ill and in intensive care units.

A Syrian rescue dog saved by his owner from a rubbish dump while in service and who now gives him a meaning to life and helps him to deal with PTSD.
