Hero Dog; the finalists announced at Crufts 2022 launch in Londons Green Park today. Picture shows Chewie at the Puppy Memorial.

The worlds greatest dog show, Crufts, is taking place from 10th 13th March at the NEC, Birmingham. Crufts is a celebration of the relationship between dogs and their owners, and features a range of events and competitions which showcase the diverse role that dogs play in society.

The Kennel Club Hero Dog Award is a truly inspiring celebration of mans best friend, the unique relationship between humans and dogs, and the extraordinary roles they play throughout our lives.

This years five inspiring finalists go forward for the public vote, which opens at midday on 23rd February and closes at midday on Sunday 13th March. All of the finalists have shared their story in a specially made video, which can be viewed at the launch and on the Crufts website. The Kennel Club Hero Dog 2022 will be announced on Sunday 13th March in the Resorts World Arena at Crufts.

The 2022 award ambassador and actress Sally Phillips, who credits her dogs with bringing infinite happiness to her family, will be celebrating the finalists at the launch.
These five four-legged heroes are just some of the dogs being celebrated at Crufts 2022 for the ways that they transform our lives and make a difference for others.
